Parenting is such a tough job. Even parenting my dogs is hard work! But when I have a visitor with their dog, the concerns and issues become multiplied. I want all the dogs to follow the house rules, but I don’t want to be unkind to the visitor dog yet I don’t want my dogs to feel they’re not my favorites any more.
This may sound silly to you, but it’s a crazy parody of life
as a step parent. You seldom can do the right thing for your step child and you
often do the wrong thing for your own child, in their eyes. To the rescue is a
great website
http://www.theparentingvoice.com/2008/09/22/step-parenting-issues.html.
There are discussions on many issues close to the hearts of step parents as
well as common concerns. Here’s a wonderful place to know that you are not
alone, that what you are experiencing is normal (yes, really) and that it will
get better. At this site you’ll find advice for parenting, just for moms, for
mom and dad to stand firm together, and to work with your ex to show your child
you may not be together but you’re all in it together.
Check out this website;
it’s worth it!
